Gopal is a dedicated professional who enjoys helping clients with their tax and accounting needs. He has provided tax and accounting services to a number of high net-worth individuals, various business entities, and non-profit organizations. Gopal holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Francisco State University and a Master of Science in Taxation from California State University, East Bay. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. In his free time, he enjoys sports, spending time with family, and cooking.

David Holland

Principal

David has over 35 years of public accounting experience and greatly enjoys helping individuals and businesses with their tax and accounting needs. David’s areas of expertise include individual, trust and estate planning and compliance; compensation, stock option and benefit planning; business formation, taxation, and financial reporting. Among the industries he has served extensively are manufacturing, investment advisors, professional services industries, construction and development, interior design firms, and non-profit organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Utah State School of Accountancy and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants. During his free time David enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and bike riding in Italy.
 
Kaycie Edeh

Strategic Operations Manager

Kaycie is a service oriented administrative professional at heart. She graduated from Sacramento State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management, and after obtaining her degree, she worked for seven years, focusing on organizational transition at various private and public sector businesses. She thankfully found her niche in financial services and tax accounting firm management, after returning home from extensive work in Africa focusing on cross-cultural communication and relationship building. She brings organizational detail and big picture vision to firm operations, planning, internal processes, and client experience. When not at work, Kaycie enjoys spending time with her two young sons, exploring the beautiful surroundings that Northern California affords, and traveling back to Africa whenever the opportunity arises.

Charlie Balquist

Senior Tax Manager

After earning his Master’s degree from California State University at Hayward, Charlie began his accounting career with Price Waterhouse in San Jose. Soon he moved on to some regional CPA firms in the south bay where he worked both as an auditor and as a tax preparer. As an auditor, he has worked with clients in such industries as technology, not-for-profits, waste management, and construction. As a tax preparer, he has worked with a number of individual and small businesses. On a special temporary assignment, he successfully filed a 10-Q with the SEC for a publicly traded company. Charlie is both a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants. In his spare time, Charlie enjoys sports, golf, movies, and traveling.

Yvonne Chin

Senior Tax Manager

Yvonne has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Bayshore, Yvonne worked at a multi-family office that served ultra high net worth individuals and their families. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from San Jose State University, received her MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the Golden Gate University. In her spare time, she loves to travel with family and spend time with her dog.
 
Michael Lin

Senior Tax Manager

Michael started his career at a global public accounting firm before transitioning to a local boutique firm in the Bay Area, where he worked for thirteen years before joining Bayshore. Michael enjoys working with clients to mitigate the tax impact of their income events throughout the year, with particular focus in compensation and stock option planning; real estate investment; partnership and S-Corp compliance; and trusts and estates planning. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and a Masters in Taxation from San Jose State University. In his free time, Michael enjoys reading and listening to books; watching and critically analyzing movies; and brainstorming dad jokes to share with his kids.

Tony Morales

Senior Tax Manager

Tony has worked in public accounting since 2011. Tony brings extensive experience in taxation, including legal resolution, trusts, estates, merger and acquisition consultancy. He is a meticulous problem solver who diligently represents his clients with calculated judgment and practice. Tony prides himself in his ability to break down complex tax matters in a manner that is more easily understood, for the educational benefit of others. He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting and Master’s of Taxation in 2011 and 2015, respectively. Tony became a licensed Enrolled Agent in 2013 and a Florida Certified Public Accountant in 2019. He is currently the Treasurer for the Golfview Harbour Estate. Tony spends his free time with family and friends, occasionally plays basketball and cooks on the weekends.

Tax Manager

Lillian was born and raised in Taiwan. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Shih Chien University and a Master of Business Administration from the California State University, Los Angeles. She worked as a senior accountant providing tax and accounting service in a local firm in Diamond Bar, CA. She has tax and accounting experience in various industries for 14 years. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking and food.

Sanaz Komijani

Tax Manager

Sanaz obtained a Bachelor of Science in 2009 in Iran before moving to Canada, where she was a Financial Advisor. After relocating to the Bay Area in 2018, Sanaz worked as a Staff Accountant specializing in personal, estate, and trust accounting, with a focus on addressing international issues at a small firm in San Jose. Sanaz is an avid cyclist and spends her free time going up and down various hills around the Peninsula.

Brent is a native of Southern California and moved to the bay area in 2016. He is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics with an Emphasis on Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has provided tax and accounting services to high-net-worth individuals, partnerships and corporations in various industries including real estate, technology, professional services and investment funds. In his spare time, Brent enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, food, and sports.

Shefali Shah

Senior Tax Advisor

Shefali was born and raised in India and holds a Masters in Accounting & Taxation from Pune University. She has several years’ work experience in accounting, taxation and audit. After relocating to the Bay Area in 2021, Shefali completed her CPA courses and worked at a local accounting firm in Santa Clara as a staff accountant where she was exposed to US taxation of HNI’s, international taxation for individuals, and basic accounting and bookkeeping for small businesses. When she is not working, she likes to cook, spend time with her friends and family, and explore nature.

Sheldon Orton

Tax Advisor

After graduating from Brigham Young University with a BA in History and a BS in Accounting, Sheldon began his career at Hood & Strong in San Francisco, and then with Coopers & Lybrand in San Jose, working primarily with high-net-worth individual and corporate clients. His work history also includes several years at AMD in a supervisory role in the corporate tax department. An Eagle Scout, Sheldon has been a Scoutmaster in two different councils. He enjoys camping with his family, serving in his church, jogging and gardening, as well as coaching youth sports.
 
Crystal Sanchez

Crystal has over 7 years of experience in servicing clients in the financial industry. Prior to joining Bayshore, she assisted clients with their finances through retirement planning, insurance services and relationship banking. Crystal holds an Associate of Science in Business Administration, an Associate of Arts with an Emphasis in Computer Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. On her spare time, Crystal enjoys spending time with family, attending church on Sundays, and traveling.

After graduating from San Jose State University with a BA in Corporate Accounting & Finance and obtaining his Masters of Legal Studies in Taxation from University of San Francisco, Frankie started his career in public accounting. Prior to joining Bayshore Tax & Consulting, Frankie started his career at a local boutique firm before transitioning to Andersen Tax LLC, where he primarily focused on high-net-worth individual and corporate clients. During the offseason, he enjoys traveling and exploring exquisite cuisines from around the world.
 
Kara Virji-Gaidhar

Kara was born in Southern Africa and emigrated to the US to begin her High School studies in California. She holds a Master’s of Science in Taxation from San Jose State University. After graduating with her Masters Degree in 2014, she worked in both regional public accounting firms and in industry, where she gained tax accounting experience and become licensed as a CPA. She aims to build long-term client relationships while servicing high-net-worth individuals, C-Corporations, and pass-through entities. When Kara is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, watching sports and circuit training.

Johanna was born in Los Angeles, raised in Arizona and now calls Palo Alto home. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and a Master’s in Education from the University of San Francisco. She previously worked at a small family accounting firm in Arizona. Johanna enjoys the opportunity to use her problem-solving skills to assist clients and create seamless tax experiences. In her free time she enjoys exploring the city for vegan food, hiking and spending time in nature.
 
Ashley Becerra

Administrative Assistant

Ashley was born in the valley and recently relocated out to the bay area, She has over 10 years of experience in client relations and service. Prior to Bayshore, she assisted clients with their auto finances. She understands the value of client relationships and satisfaction. She enjoys spending time finding new places, trying new food and meeting new people. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and soon will be beginning her Applications of Technology in Planning Certificate from San Jose State University.
 
Michelle Nguyen

Administrative Assistant

Michelle was born and raised in the Bay Area, earning her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of San Francisco and Master of Professional Accountancy degree at UC Davis. She started her career as a tax preparer at KPMG but now enjoys her role on the admin team at Bayshore. She loves gardening, cooking, and hiking. When she is not taking care of her 20+ houseplants or creating YouTube videos, she enjoys trying new restaurants with friends and family.
 
David Sorensen

David focuses on processing incoming client data during the busy tax season and providing staff and client support during key deadlines throughout the year. David earned his BA degree in Communications from California State University, Chico and attended San Jose State University earning a MA in Education focusing on instructional design. During his free time David spends time at the gym and enjoys cycling, hiking and trips to the coast. He also has a passion for food and wine as well attending live music events and watching the latest film releases.

Emily was born and raised in the Bay Area and has years of experience working at various jobs. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Emily has previously worked in multiple administrative positions, including UC Santa Cruz’s Disability Resource Center, San Francisco’s California Public Utilities Commission, and Kohl’s as a store management intern. Emily is committed to being a reliable and friendly point of contact for everyone, and she is passionate about helping others. In her free time, she loves to discover new food and music, travel, and spend time with family and friends.

Principal

Randy has worked in public accounting since 1982, when he began his career with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. Randy brings over 40 years of extensive experience to existing small businesses, high net worth individuals, estates, and trusts. He enjoys consulting and helping individuals reach their tax and financial goals.

Randy graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and holds a Master of Taxation from Golden Gate University. Randy holds the designation of Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credential. Randy spends his free time with family, and enjoys hiking with his dogs, exercise, and playing and watching various sports.
Anne Lee

Principal

Anne has worked in public accounting since 1979. She began her career with Hubert B. Allen, CPA, known for establishing the first CPA office in Los Gatos. Anne brings extensive experience to small businesses and start-ups for their accounting and taxation needs. She enjoys consulting and helping small businesses establish their accounting and operational structure along with setting financial budgets and benchmarks needed for success.

Anne graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Anne was born and raised in Chicago, IL and spends her free time with family, enjoys travel, hiking, and new dining experiences.
Kyle Ray

Associate Director

Kyle started her career in private accounting, while attending San Jose State University and earning her degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She joined the firm Bauerle, Lee & Associates team in 2011 and has been a licensed CPA since 2013. Her experience includes tax preparation, planning, and consulting for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. Kyle also has experience in review and compilation engagements, along with Government contractor financial reporting. She plays a major role with business clients and assists with the oversight of client accounting and bookkeeping, which includes the preparation of numerous informational business returns. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, traveling, and keeping up with her two girls and all their activities.

Sarah Lippold

Senior Business Advisory Manager

Sarah was born and raised in the Los Gatos area, and has lived in Reno, NV for the last 11 years with her husband and 2 children. She just celebrated her 25th work anniversary with the firm and has been the Accounting Manager for over 15 of those years. She enjoys helping clients with all aspects of their accounting needs and is always up for a challenge! Sarah also recently became a licensed Enrolled Agent. In her free time, she loves to travel, attempts to golf, and is always looking for the next concert to attend!

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics with an Accounting minor from UCLA in 1999, Kendrick began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in San Jose. After obtaining his CPA license he continued his career at Franklin Templeton Investments where he worked in Internal Audit for 20 years. In his spare time, Kendrick enjoys staying active, golfing, spending time with family and hanging out with his two dogs, Oliver, and Wilson.

Unica was born and raised in the Philippines. She immigrated to the USA in 2015 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Cum Laude, in 2020 from San Diego State University.
